How to make my Feral Heart Character - Snowy the snow leopard

Feral Heart is an online game/ world where you can be a canine or feline (or other depending on how inventive you can be). Here I'll show you the rough settings for my character Snowy so if you want to make a character like her then you can just punch the settings in and change it how you like please don't copy her name I know it isn't very inventive however it would be annoying to see dozens of snowy's running around in-game.

So firstly here is a screen-print of the settings for the first sheet. You can adjust yours how you want I wanted the snow leopard to be big enough to not be mistaken in-game for a cub yet small enough to not look as large as the many lions.
When you have got a rough copy of this (this is why it's a rough guide) we can go into the more exact part of the guide and settings II.

II is simple- just rounded tail (a thick tail may also work personally it was a bit too much for me when I tried it but some people may I guess think it more realistic) , maneless, normal ears and tuftless

III is also very simple- normal for eyes and snow leopard for all the rest on that page

Now we come to the colour mixing - you of course can add any colour you want, I went for the more realistic looking snow leopard.

IV (if you wish to use these) -  These are the numbers by the sliders to help give you an idea of how to get these colours of course for originality's sake you can change them but to be honest I'd be more pleased than annoyed if people started using them (why would I give them to you other-wise) so your choice. Anyway you don't even have to use the sliders just put the numbers in the boxes.

iPod colourisation - gryphon

Another iPod touch colourisation this time of a gryphon sketch. I use the sketchbook mobile (costs around £2) and an iPod touch to colourise my images. At the moment it's all new to me so the images so far are more experimental.

iPod colourisation - dragon

I don't seem to be able to find the pen for my wacom, still so I downloaded this APP on my iPod called sketchbook mobile and thought that I'd try making a dragon sketch into a digital image just to mess around with it the APP itself is amazing and with the zoom of the iPod it does a similar job to a say tablet with a small working area. If you've been following the blog then you may recognise this but I'll post it with this one anyway :).

How to draw - a simple horse head

So this is my first (of many perhaps) of  how to draw. Here I'll show you a quick way to draw a simple horses head.

Step one is just to draw two circles one large one for the head and one smaller oval for the muzzle. It's important to get the distance and angle between them right as they give the first basic structure to your horse. You might also want to sketch out the position of the cheek bone.

Step 2 is to join these circles up thinking about the lines of the horse (this may differ between breeds). For this horse the line comes out from the circles and then dips slightly (some horses may have a more rounded head). The bottom of the head has two bumps from the muzzle to the throat. Then your want to draw curved lines for the neck of your horse.
Step 3 - draw in the further details like the eyes, nosrils and ears and make sure your happy with the outline. You can tweak it a bit until your happy.
Finally rub out any lines that you don't need and draw in mane and forelock detail and colour if you want.

This was just a quick doodle if you use this technique then I'd love to see how your doodle turns out.

Gemini dragons

This was another thing I created for my zazzle store. I had an idea to create a dragon version of every star sign. Gemini being my star sign is were I started I have designs for the rest so it's an ongoing project.

Gryphon

Gryphon's are something I've recently been interested in drawing. I think it's how to show the lion and eagle combination which makes it something interesting to draw.
Another thing that I love about these creatures is that they haven't been over done like dragons which gives you a lot more freedom over the character. Just need to get the rest of the gryphon right now.

Star Gazer

This is Blaze one of my dragon characters, well my main dragon character this was created by me before I had my wacom pen (which makes a huge difference by the way). It is one of those old images that I spent a lot of time on at some point I like the subject and so it would probably be great to try a redo of it, at some point. Here Blaze is staring up into the sky at a dragon constellation (it's inspired by the film Dragon Heart a film that had a very sad ending).
Blaze is a silver dragon and he appears in a lot of my doodles and writing. In my writing he is usually paired with a rider called Luna (I do tend to re-use the name of the main character for my writing a lot, I know very original however if they every come to anything I'll just have to find new names).

First post

Wow for my first post I was going to do some kinda of new digital doodle but unfortunately I have lost my wacom pen lol. So instead of trying to draw on a laptop without it I started looking through some of my notebooks at past sketches, not expecting much but anyway here's one of the drawings I found amongst the rubbish.
The photo hasn't come up very well (I may see if I can't fix the scanner or dig a better camera out). This was something that I came up with while thinking of creating a zazzle store (something I may get back to). It's not a character with any story to it just a drawing of a water dragon however I like how it came out in my note book. Who knows it may become digital, when I've dug up that pen! lol.
